oh my god and i suddenly realized that i sucked i had no idea but i'm like oh my god and i realized that i'd shown this portfolio in the morning and that's why i got laughed out of the room because i just hadn't seen a portfolio and celia took the time to show me books to show me what books looked like to show me the level of photography that was happening in toronto and
she gave me two models to shoot.
Now, she didn't have to do that, but she did.
And when I came back with those photos, she was like, oh shit, with the right models and some idea as to what the target is, you actually made the photos.
And Celia flooded me with models that entire year between high school and university at age...
I'm gonna fuck... I'm so emotional today.
I'm feeling like telling these stories, it brings me right back there.
And I realize like... I realize if it wasn't for Celia, I wouldn't have a career.
If it wasn't for my brother, I wouldn't have a career.
You know?
There's so many things that happen to us that actually make our lives, but...
We don't know it.
And if I didn't pick up the phone and make the meetings in the first place at 19, if I didn't actually like just do it, like I wouldn't have a career.
Every rejection has a chance to help you improve.
I've had my fair share, whatever rejections.
