My cousins were St. John's guys, but like we were going through Scott and I were going through the old St. John's rosters. And then, uh, This weekend, you see Walter Berry in the garden. And then you read, I don't know if you read the story by Quinn on The Athletic where Walter Berry goes up to Lewis in the locker room after the game.

It's like you talk about full circle stuff and bringing back memories and just like, you know, Molly and those guys, like those teams, they just went at each other. Then you bring up that Final Four and Villanova comes out of nowhere and wins the national title. I remember being heartbroken that night where Georgetown just couldn't get it done against Villanova. He had guys from here where I am now in the DMV, all over rosters, and obviously the New York City thing. There's nothing like it. The Rakim, the Big East, the Doc, I thought was great.

But I do think that there are some parallels because you still understood like you weren't going to get it every single year. And, you know, there's a bit of a carryover, especially when we look at the Big Ten winning back to back national championships in football here. where even if I'm well-documented, I'm always arguing for the SEC because of visually what I see and then the draft part of it.

And the funny thing is the SEC, for all of the resources and all of the athletes that you think are just down the street, basketball-wise, it's been a really disappointing conference for years. I'm like, this is the best conference ever. in all of college basketball. I don't, you know, I don't even think that's debatable for some of those years, but ultimately it's going to come down to, um, where these teams end up. Because if you go the last three years, the SEC said 22 total bids. If you go expected wins, it was 30. They were a 22 total wins in those three years.

I think that's what the number was. And it was actually the lowest based on expected wins of any of the power conferences. Well, they roll in this year with 14 bids, which breaks the big East record of 11 back in 2011. Um, The Big East didn't actually have a great tournament at all that year, but UConn ends up winning the whole thing, so that kind of can get lost.
