As league and law enforcement agencies presented an outline of security activity, the NFL's chief security officer, Kathy Lanier, said one specific federal agency will not take part.

The Super Bowl is classified as a significant event by the Department of Homeland Security, and coordination among state, local, and federal agencies takes place every year.

DHS, which ICE is part of, is playing a role, but it says ICE is not part of this year's security plans.

Estefan, who was born in Cuba, said she is scared and worried.

The main protest in L.A.

took place here in downtown near City Hall.

It was loud but peaceful.

Katie Laffoon was one of those taking part.

Stan Downer, a video editor, took the day off work to attend.

After the protest, several hundred marched to a nearby location where ICE detainees are often held.

At one point, a type of pepper spray was used to disperse the crowd.
