But no, when someone, you notice it very, very quickly when someone is itching to avoid their round, don't you?
And someone is mentally totting up.
But I get it to a certain extent because it's hard when you go, say you join a group of four and you're the fifth one and they've all had a couple of drinks and you don't really know two of them and you have to be like, does anyone want a drink?
And you're like, I have definitely perfected the air of, does anyone want a drink in a very, you don't want a drink, do you?
Or when someone has got like three quarters of a pint and goes, yeah, yeah, I'll have one.
You're like, I know what you're doing there.
You're so right.
You're just storing up because you've seen the chances of someone buying you a drink right now.
So it goes both ways, I think.
I think it's not just that people, the tight people aren't just the person who's a little bit reluctant to buy the pint for six people he's never met just arriving.
It's also the tight person is the person who goes, I've got nearly a full drink and someone else has paid for it already.
You're both middleweights, someone else is a heavyweight, a flyweight, you match yourselves.
Where do you stand on, and this is a thorny issue, the gender divide and the price of a pint?
The price of a pint is helping to address this, but...
In every relationship I've been in, it's been like, I'll go to the bar and I'll buy myself a pint of cask that, say, comes in at about £4.20 and a glass of wine that comes in or a cocktail that comes in at £9.30.
And let's not cast aspersions on the gender.
And you're like, well, this isn't quite right, is it?
This isn't quite fair.
And the other thing, while I'm on it, is going to the bar, just giving me some money or like, oh, your card isn't buying a round, is it?
