Really, yeah.
I mean, one thing, the sort of COVID thing, I hated around the sort of ordering on the app.
We're moaning about lots of aspects of buying a round, but it's a very intrinsic element of a good night out.
I think the ideal number for a round is about four or five.
Four and a half people, in fact, I think is about right.
So if you can find me half a person who's not very thirsty.
But I think that's about the right number.
Because more than that, you're just like, well, I don't know if I'm having six.
And if I'm having six, we're probably all forgetting, to be honest, whose round it is anyway.
with my very very closest i don't care if i get it wrong right but even with them even with them because again cause i'm a stand-up guy for me it's definitely in a known value place so say we're in say we're in one of um liverpool's reasonably reasonable establishments if we're in a london cocktail bar i might be a bit less inclined to say it's my round
You're suddenly somewhere where you go, I don't know what they're going to charge me now.
For five drinks, I don't know what's going to come out here.
They could say £50, they could say £3,000.
there's a good little trend in um in a couple of like sheffield and newcastle we've been so there's one in public called public in sheffield and there's one in newcastle whose name escapes me we've been to recently that are kind of like bar based cocktail bars where you can go and where everything's quite up front you go to go to a bar essentially sit at the bar and they all they they you sort of kind of know what you're paying and i quite like that i quite like they've demystified cocktails slightly whereas i think in in in my experience you know because i i like a cocktail
um and i find myself drinking them very quickly and needing another one very quickly which is which they i think which is the the downside if they're charging you you know north of 15 pounds for it then i'm like well i'm probably not going to get another one but if you're charging me 9 to 12 i probably will and i think that's like a real trade there's one in york isn't there
