I think you should start on some committees and you should think about getting involved.

And so I actually went to, not went to service, but started serving IFA on the membership committee under Joanne Shaw,

who is the first woman chair of the association and one of the most amazing women that I know in franchising among a lot of incredibly amazing women, as we all know.

And I did that for about a year or two, and Joanne was looking.

I think she was moving into the chairmanship at that time and other things were happening.

So I was asked to serve chairing that committee, chaired that committee for a number of years.

And, of course, you guys know me well enough to know that

Through that work on the committee, I was ready to reinvent the world of franchising and expand IFA globally and do everything in between.

But it was through that service that I had an opportunity to get involved in the educational foundation.

I chaired the foundation for a few years.

I had an opportunity to work with the finance audit and budget committee.

I worked in a number of committees of service, FRANPAC, and then was invited to...

serve on the executive committee, which ultimately led to my chairmanship at the association.

The other highlight of my career there, quite frankly, was I was asked by Matt Shea to lead a strategic planning committee for the World Franchise Council, which to me was an incredible honor to be asked to work with what would be the equivalent of the United Nations of franchising,

on a plan to move that entire organization forward for the better of franchising worldwide.

So like I said, I've been very fortunate and very excited about being a part of not just being a good franchisor, but being a good citizen in the community.

Yeah, absolutely.

When I was approached by Riverside, I thought, wow, that's an area in which I have no real experience.

I've had great relationships with some, I think, of the best and brightest in franchising that operate similar businesses.

But I'll tell you, Stan, one of the things that caught me about – what I've learned about being in this industry is that people have some relationship with the work that we do.
