I have said already that I haven't had an opportunity to connect with Dame Noelene yet because I haven't started in the role.
I start on August the 12th.
And what I think is really important to note is that it's been well documented that Dame Noelene and the interim chief executive, Jane Patterson, have got a really strong working relationship.
And I think that is a fantastic thing for the organisation and for the sport.
And when I start in August, my intention is just to continue with that momentum into the future.
Well, I think sport, you know, when we talk about well-being of everyone in sport, it's incredibly important.
You know, well-being of athletes, well-being of coaches.
We've got to ensure that the high-performance environment is effective for everyone involved.
And that's a really tricky balance to strike.
There's many organisations that are doing that really well, and I am confident that Netball New Zealand will be one of those organisations that continues to do that well into the future.
Well, the broadcasting landscape for sport has changed significantly, and not just here in New Zealand.
You would get that more than most people.
I know that the board and the team at Netball New Zealand is working really hard on that at the moment.
It's not at a place where things can be talked about publicly, but when things are able to be shared publicly, I know they will.
I think the landscape in New Zealand is of course we have Sky and we have TVNZ and historically the Network New Zealand has had a fantastic relationship with both broadcasters.
It's important that that continues into the future.
I know from the perspective of the ANZ Championship this year I've been on the edge of my couch watching the calibre of that premiership throughout the season.
The athletes are just turning out some incredible performances.
We want to make sure that we have got as many eyeballs on the sport as possible because that helps all of us into the future, not just the broadcasters, but indeed us trying to grow the sport.
It's a really interesting question, and that deliberation around what does our domestic trans-Tasman relationship look like is something that the current team and board is considering, and I will be picking up those conversations and those deliberations when I start in August.
