Um, I'm not saying the civil war wouldn't have happened, but it might not have happened then had it not been from just, um, miscalculation of how, uh, how severe the things that were going on were going to be.

And, uh, I think we all know the civil war, um, I don't think either side was expecting it to be the way it was, but you could kind of see it coming in retrospect.

And again, when you're talking about a whole lot of big things happening,

it's important to think beyond just what's immediately going on and try to really, really say, what's the other guy going to do and how does that change the way I think?

So yeah, it's a good book.
