Of course he led the league in errors, but we were just judging his him to be a bad player for a period of time.
And so uh yeah, it's tough.
You know, baseball's a grind.
It's a tough game and, you know, many guys keep their mouth shut and just play with pain uh and uh don't explain how it's impacting their their performance.
Yeah, I would I would talk to my manager and I s it wouldn't have been this late in the season, 'cause I would have suggested, hey, have we considered moving him down to the lineup?
And I'm assuming during that conversation it would have come up, well, I don't want him to feel like it's a punishment.
And and my response would be, Well, let's sit down and have a conversation with them and explain it to 'em that it's not a punishment, but we've got to try to win games and our best way to do it right now is
Not with him batting second in the lineup or third in the lineup.
It's him batting sixth in the lineup where we can get some of the hot bats grouped together to try to put up a crooked number during the course of the game.
And and if he's uncomfortable with it, okay.
His being comfortable hasn't led to great performance this year, so why not make him uncomfortable and see if that does something different?
It may or may not work.
Uh and and I know they've tried so many different things with him.
But yeah, I don't the one thing at some point is you have to stop worrying about feelings.
What about uh our feelings?
What about the fans' feelings?
What about the front office feelings that that we're paying you fifty million dollars a year and you're not producing and so we need to figure out a different way how to get you to produce again.
And if you don't like it, then play better, right?
That's just sort of the bottom line.
And I actually think Blady would be fine understanding that.
