Because you've got to remember, man, that snowball rolled back down the mountain, and you've got to push it back up to the top again.
to get there, and it feels like some of that energy is starting to come.
I've got to say, I give John Snyder credit.
He's been way more patient than I would have been.
I would have been barking a little bit earlier, and he's just kept waiting for guys to come out of it and to start to perform and get going, knowing that it's a long season.
I think it also helps that the rest of the American League has waited for the Blue Jays to get healthy, and now they're going to pay a price for it.
Yeah, I think it's really more the American League than the National League.
I mean, you look at the National League Central and all of the teams are over 500.
The National League is dominating the American League when they play interleague play.
And the American League teams are the ones that are sort of struggling.
Look at the Tigers, the Kansas City Royals.
I mean, they're both sharing the basement of the AL Central when we thought they both could come back and compete again this year.
And the Guardians are playing Guardians baseball, but...
I think that the good fortune for the Blue Jays is that there are a lot of teams that are underperforming in the American League, or maybe they're just beating each other up.
But the AL West is, you know, a question mark, too, with anybody separating out there.
Seattle hasn't gotten off to a great start.
Texas and the Astros are playing better, but neither of those teams really seem scary right now.
So the good fortune for the Jays is, at least in the wildcard race, there's going to be plenty of options for them to fight their way into it.
Now, the question is, can they get back?
Can they catch the Yankees?
