Usually he has pretty good control, but he can still get in trouble without locating where he wants.

And and what we find now is he is throwing strikes and he's throwing them in the strike zone where he wants to throw them.

Or he's starting pitches in the strike zone and then breaking them out of the zone, getting hitters to chase.

It looks like vintage uh Shane Beaver right now.

Uh and and yet there were quite a few starters that teams could go out and get

And that might have been more predictable.

Now, you know, there's upside with him and and certainly we're starting to see that right now.

But I also can understand that if it were me I'd be like, Okay, well, at the time all we knew was

what we knew and it didn't look great.

And so and sometimes, you know, from the Jay's perspective, sometimes the best trades you make are the ones that you don't make.

Uh and it feels like that in the case of Shane Bieber.

Yeah, I you know, I I the you know, the batting average is okay, the on base percentage is okay, but you know, he's a run producer, he's not a run scorer, he's not a table setter, he's a guy that that should be driving in runs and so when he doesn't do that, it's a big hole in the lineup.

You know, it's you know, runners should be in scoring position when they're on first base.

He should be in scoring position when he's standing at home plate.
