So the

The rural the rural sector is uh is certainly the uh the the place to be for when you're looking for green shoots at the moment.

I think what we w see with Auckland is uh is how uh flat it is when we're not getting strong migration growth.

Um people people coming in, creating demand for housing, consuming are really, really important.

Um but s there there's there's signs of life here as well.

I'm I'm looking forward to the C B D improving a lot now that the uh central rail

is um is finally underway and hopefully retailers and the C V D can um look forward to a uh uh a much nicer environment too.

It's it's it's pleasing that we um that we've got other gross drivers going on, isn't it?

And uh

We uh we see it in other surveys we do, like our investor confidence survey, that things like the share market, Kiwi Sabre are becoming much more important drivers for um especially for people under under thirty, under forty, um, in terms of generating that wealth effect that we so long associated with housing.

Well, we're uh well advanced at the moment down this down this path and I I think y that was the concern of the announcement yesterday that I mean those two separate issues, I suppose the independent council

Which may have some merit if you but I suppose independence is in the eye of the beholder, isn't it?

But yeah, this this slowdown, um, when we are so close now, because the year nine group this year, coming to the end of their year, um, they're only uh just over a year away from beginning that foundation course this year eleven students.

So, you know, we've a lot of preparation going on in that.

And we're well advanced down these um

reforms with curriculum and the design of that assessment system.

So you know, again, I think uh that would be pretty catastrophic to sort of up uh put a hold on that and tell people we're gonna start again.

Broadly speaking, is it working?

Well, we're gonna find out, but there's there's a huge amount of work going on already uh with with advisor I mean we talk about independent advisory groups, the minister has

um uh cross sector advisory groups.
