But do you think that that's an evolved tendency?

I would kind of think that there's an evolutionary push toward women being more interested in resources and status than men are.

But you just think about things and you just might reason, well, what's the best way for me to make a living in life?

Well, I'm poor, so I'm just going to reason about the fact that it would be better for me to marry this person who's wealthy than to marry someone who's poor.

If you see what I mean.

So you could just explain it as a rational thing, a reasoned thing rather than an evolved thing.

Just game theory.

Yeah.

So what's the adaptive rationale, though?

If there's lots of abundance, you would want a more attractive, a heavier woman.

So that's a huge part of life.

But why does it flip then in conditions of non-scarcity?

So it's one of those things where- But isn't that the case in all societies?

And isn't some degree of chubbiness a sign in all societies, regardless of their abundance or scarcity, that the person isn't going to be able to get pregnant?

I'm just not sure why.
