And actually, that's one reason that the revealed preferences data might not be accurate, is that when you're looking at how important it is in a relationship that the guy is earning quite a bit among current couples, those are current couples and there's going to be a bunch of couples who, partnerships that have dissolved already.

Before they do, exactly.

And so you're just looking at the subset that remains after those kind of processes have happened.

So you're going to have reduced variance in terms of ability to make a living and earn a good wage.

And reduced variance therefore means that the correlation is going to be weaker and other things are going to become more important, seemingly more important.

But maybe that's a problem with the data rather than the fact that women actually don't care more about that after all than men do.

I reckon it's converting your stated preference into a reveal preference by going out into the world and making it happen and putting skin in the game to do so.

They're more likely to use them.

There is plenty of research, I think, though, that shows revealed preferences for some of the traditional EvoCite predictions, like the fact that guys who are wealthier are more likely to get married, more likely to stay married, more likely to have kids, more likely to get remarried if they divorce, whereas it doesn't predict that anywhere near as well for women.

Women's wages don't.

And women's looks are a better predictor of whether they get married and

And the wealth of the marital partner, that is the case for men.

Men's looks don't predict that anywhere near as well.

And all of that's revealed preferences, right?

It's an interesting study there, right?
