Now, there are things you can do to mitigate the fact that you don't have a home inspection contingency.
The best case scenario, in my opinion, is to do what's called a pre-offer inspection.
Typically in our market, we call these walk-and-talks, where it's a shortened inspection where you walk the home with an inspector.
It is a good idea to stick with the inspector as long as possible.
And I always tell our buyers, be curious.
If you don't understand what something is or where something is, ask the inspector and they'll explain it to you.
There's all other sorts of inspections like pool inspections, oil tank inspections, fireplace inspections, structural engineer, mold inspections, lead-based paint inspections.
