And have you guys ever seen a loon in person?
Yes.
I think I've heard them.
They're gorgeous.
I've met lots of loonies.
They're these big, gorgeous birds.
So we were kayaking on the pond.
And at one point, we saw the loon.
We were at the other side of the pond from our cabin.
And so we go, let's see how close he'll let us get to him.
And here we, it was really chilly.
He let us get close and then he dove underwater.
So we like start heading back and then he surfaces right next to our kayaks and is swimming alongside of us, like five feet away, six feet away, 10 feet away.
So we just keep going and he kept, you know, they dive underwater, they fish and then they resurface and they could be underwater for 30 feet, 100 feet, whatever.
And like four or five times he resurfaced right next to our kayaks and just swam alongside of us.
So we had a real, and then at one point he stretches out his neck and did the loon noise, like right next to us.
It was awesome.
So loud.
It is so it echoes across the lake.
That's why every primeval swamp-like setting in the movies, there's a loon sound, right?
