Because again, we didn't have any money for any kind of vacation.
And so my father would take me out on these long camping trips, these long hikes.
We would sleep outside.
We'd go up into the White Mountains in New Hampshire.
I love the White Mountains.
And we were part of this thing.
It wasn't anything official, but it's called the 4,000 Footers Club.
And you were just trying to climb all the 4,000 foot mountains, which...
I know out here it probably sounds a little small to y'all, but for us, those are the big mountains out east.
That's right.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And so absolutely just growing up with him and what he would do, you know, when you're walking, and I think about this a lot in all sorts of different ways, but when you're walking with an adult and you're a child,
it's actually pretty tough.
They got these long strides and you're just trying to keep up.
And so my dad- Looking at the back of their shirt all day long.
Yeah, exactly.
And my dad would tell me these long meandering stories to try and get me to keep up with him, trying to make sure he'd be like, oh, if we just hit this peak or if we just hit this kind of turn in the trail, I'll tell you what happens next in the story.
So he'd almost give me these like cliffhanger serials to keep me going.
