Mason Berstow scored loads of goals for us.
Cody Black Taylor, Marcus Force, they all played huge part in our success last year.
And obviously
They've all gone back to their pairing clubs and and moved on since.
Um so we knew that we would have to strengthen.
We knew that we would have to try and bring in some experience into the squad, people who knew what this league looks like.
And also from a club's point of view, we wanted to try and bring in some young players who have got potential to develop our own players or to to develop them over the next couple of seasons that
We can then start to make profits on players, which I don't think we've done for a long time at Bolton.
You know, being in League One for so long, what's generally tended to happen is they've bought the better players in the league to get out of the division and not really focus too much on the development side of it.
So we had to get that balance right.
But what is obviously difficult is you're stepping up to a bigger level where everything else is amplified, the the transfer fees.
of everybody is ridiculous, the wages that everybody gets paid.
So we've had to be really patient and really
Diligent with the money that we've spent because we haven't got loads of it and we can't afford to waste it.
Yeah, so I think as you said, the Sharon came out and has done an interview and and I've been open in the press because I I spoke to the owners when they told me what the budget was going to be and said, Okay, well look, we're gonna be right up against it because it is, as you say, right down here towards the bottom end of the division.
And um we said, look, we have to just be open and honest with the fans because
Yeah, we have had expectation and pressure on us to get out of League One, but there's still an expectation and a pressure for us to to do really well in the championship because of the history that this club has got and where it's been not long ago.
Like we see ourselves as a big football club and we want to continue to do that.
So when we're trying to attract players to come, we're not bringing them in here and saying, Look, lads, you're going to be part of a relegation battle.
What we're trying
