And so when you bend it back and forth, it develops a crease.

And every single flip foldable phone ever has done this.

Yeah.

And so Apple claims to have developed, and this is all marketing, so this is not a tech, official tech term.

This is like a nanoparticle coating or whatever that makes the crease invisible.

Now, they didn't say it didn't have a crease.

They said it would be not visible.

So if they manage to put some kind of a coating on there that scatters the light in such a way to make it look matte instead of glossy, that might do it.

And the early reviewers of people who were there at the event claim that it does a pretty good job.

So we've got a 5.4 inch

outside display when the phone is closed, and then dual displays when the phone is opened up like a book.

Interestingly, if you remember back the iPhone, I believe the iPhone 5S, which I still say was the best iPhone they ever made for the time it came out.

that is a very similar screen size.

So the new Fold is shorter, it's a little more squatty than the current standard size iPhone.

So it's a little shorter this way and a little wider that way to accommodate that.

A little bit more square, which makes sense when you are opening it like a book.

So they didn't just slap iPadOS on this.

I kind of was expecting it to where when they opened it up, it just kind of became an iPad.

It doesn't.

It has its own sort of unique version of the iOS software to take advantage of the folding feature.
