In 2024, in the Six Nations, he had a shoulder injury, out for eight months.

2025, Six Nations, he missed a couple of games with a hamstring and quad injury.

Then post the 2026 Six Nation or 25 Six Nations, he suffered an ankle injury with Connacht and he was out for five weeks.

And we know that that problem then reoccurred when he came back to Connacht um in October.

And I think his first game back with provincial rugby, the foot went down again and he was out, returned for the autumn series with that famous hat trick against Australia, then injured the foot again versus South Africa, had surgery in late December, and I think we knew after that he was going to miss the rest of the season.

It was always said that he was targeting preseason with Connacht now as his return.

But you just look at the past two years and you think, what has he done to annoy somebody up above?

That he could be that riddled with injuries over and over again.

But obviously the foot injury that kind of plagued him for a year, year and a half kept coming back and they decided to do the surgery on it.
