Yeah, I just contacted the IRFU off the back of that, wondering what their stance on it was, and this is the statement I got back um that the participation of PWR based players in the women's interprovincial series was contingent on loan agreements but being agreed between the relevant parties.

Once the terms of those agreements, including the risks and obligations that would be assumed by the provinces, were fully considered, a collective decision was taken by the provinces not to proceed.

At all times, player welfare was central to discuss.

And this was a decision for the provinces to make rather than one directed by the IRFU.

So essentially what was explained to me was that, as Fiona kind of hinted at there, it was a loan agreement.

Um and when a loan takes place between clubs, the club that's basically in charge of the player for that time is responsible for the likes of injury costs and insurance and all those kind of things.

So if someone was to be injured in a game for Conath or for Ulster,

The costs would fall on them.

And what the RFU said is that they contacted all the heads of the various provinces and asked them if that was okay, essentially, if they wanted to go ahead with those risks, despite them being quite high.

And it had to be a unilateral decision.

So all the provinces had to say yes for it to take place.

And essentially, I don't know who or where or or when, but one of them or all of them decided that that they weren't willing to take the risk.

Um so that was the RFU.

But it certainly seems from Fiona that the communication, even if if that's fair enough, there's nothing you can do about that and and it was a fair process.

It only happened two weeks before the InterPro started and as she mentioned multiple times, someone had moved their whole life, a couple of players had moved their whole lives to Galway.

I mean that that has costs as well.

So it certainly seems like somewhere in the process a step could have been made a little bit quicker.

Yeah, clicker.

Yeah, probably.

And it probably was on a case by case basis.
