There's some violence, there's cruelty, there's selfishness, there's self-absorption.
You're in a relationship and, come on, you've got to give back some at various moments.
And he was very much into what he wanted to do.
And that, I think, was an important piece of it.
No, I think he must be one of those people so much larger than life that you can't... If you're in a relationship with it, you just miss the brilliance, the light of those eyes, of that persona.
And she also is...
sort of missing that world.
And there are two of his, the women in which he had relationships that commit suicide, including his last.
And I think that there is that
So we were just talking before about his cruelty and his control.
And I don't think that necessarily that speaks less of the women that they get absorbed by this and have a very hard time giving that up.
I think that that must be the nature of somebody who is very much the center of the world, kind of like an Atlas-like figure that is absolutely absorbing.
That certainly is a piece of it.
Although, you know, I think...
What I'm really loving about the questions that you're asking is you're giving a three-dimensionality, a four-dimensionality to this amazing artist.
And far too often, he becomes a subject of derision, like everything is bad.
And so don't look at his work because you're blind by this or that one aspect of what was happening in his life.
And he was so much richer and so much more complicated.
