I would hate to compare anything to 2026 in terms of social or sexual mores and what's happening here at home.

I really don't know how to answer that.

But I do think that in time...

I think we will begin to look at him in a much more complex way.

And I know that there were a number of fabulous artists who refused to really engage in Picasso until after his death.

I think that he held that lock on what one could do as an artist.

And then afterwards, you get some really brilliant work that's coming at this from Lucian Freud and others is coming at his work in a very

new and really interesting way.

And even African artists are coming back and redressing some of this in profoundly interesting ways.

So I think that is also how we can begin to think about his relationships with women in a way that take them apart individually, see what each of these women is offering to Picasso, what he's offering in turn, and then realize, yeah, there was some pretty

crude and cruel and jealous and dysfunctional aspects of that as well.
