And that resonates with a fascinating figure for him among women, which is the sorcerer Celestina, the old woman with one eye who –
can read, can see things in the world that the rest of us can't see.
And in a certain sense, I think an artist, and in this case, Picasso, probably saw himself, imagined himself in a way kind of like Celestina, the sort who was taking things in and transforming things, and also like a mother giving birth.
He is indeed resonating with that larger idea of transforming, and he very much wanted to do this.
