This is a lovely field.
People coming to Ireland might be familiar with the black-faced sheep around Connemara and Galway.
But these are really, really different.
These are a much thicker, sturdier animal.
They're much larger.
Very different to what we might think.
Oh, very different.
The dilemma, I suppose, for a lot of people looking at the wool industry, most of the products that consumers buy with even pure new wool written on it, it's not Irish wool.
And even if it's made in Ireland, it's not Irish wool.
So how did we get into a situation where fleeces became valued so poorly?
