I think being able to validate their frustrations and anger and then connect it to who is actually responsible, it sounds no duh, right?

But I don't think we necessarily do that very well.

I'll also say this.

And this is maybe inside baseball, but when I am given – when I'm trying to learn about an elected official I'm going to interview, typically what their team will do is they'll send me kind of some bullet points.

So these are Governor Beshear's opinions on XYZ, you know, like things he has done, whatever.

But very rarely is there what I consider the connective tissue, which is if you say it was an election year, your opponent, what your opponent says about those things and why it's wrong and why I think that is so important, especially if you want to appeal to conservatives, right?

Sorry, this is kind of a long answer, but I promise I'm getting somewhere.

When I was in Catholic school, we had a course called apologetics, which I'm just going to make it very simple.

Here's bad things people say about the Catholic church.

Here's why that's wrong.

That is Fox News.

Fox News strategy is people don't have to look for alternative perspectives because it's like they dogpile, they give such black and white certain information to people.

And that's why people get hooked because they're anxious and they're scared and they can't afford anything and all these things.

And Fox News is giving them this illusion of certainty.

I don't think we do a very good job overcoming those and thinking about objections that are

or thinking about what conservatives are told.

Like, I think we have to do both.
