I think you can have a both and.

We have caucus every week.

And we have the ranking member of rules where all of this stuff goes through, James McGovern, and he says, just one thing, just one thing we need to do.

Just vote against the rule.

Don't do Republicans work for them.

If you are in the majority, then you should be able to vote for the rule, which is basically the mechanism to say this bill can come to the floor.

They should be able to do that.

Now let me tell you something, Don.

There have been a number of my bills in another bill.

And my stuff is good, but the larger bill.

Is crap, it's janky, it's full of poison pills, and I want my stuff to get through, but I also vote no on the rule because it is not my job to do the Republicans' job for them.

The speaker is supposed to be able to count and have all of his majority folks vote for his rule because that's what it is.
