decides to go ahead and cooperate with the prosecution she testified against brendan banfield which led to a guilty verdict and boom her sentencing hearing she's supposed to get out of jail free now the prosecutors agreed to say hey we will give you your sentence as time served and you'll be on your way back home to brazil if you testify for us

That was the deal.

And frankly, you and I and a lot of people had a problem with this case in that it was his word against hers.

Her word, she had very much an incentive to lie, to say whatever she wanted so she could get out of jail free.

Deal with the prosecutors, you turn state's witness, testify for us, and we will let you off scot-free with a, she has a manslaughter conviction, but the prosecutor said, cut this deal with you, no jail time.

what they've been preaching for months and throughout the entire trial.

It didn't seem fair.

You and I both thought it was pretty awful.

And as a juror, I was thinking that might weigh in on their decision as to whether or not they even believed her.

Because she shot the fatal blow, right?

And she admitted to.

She admitted to actually...

shooting Joe Ryan, the man they lured to Brendan Banfield's home, and she delivered the fatal gunshot wound.

And she admitted it, and I believe the forensics verified that.

She essentially killed him.

So here we are.

Brendan Banfield got convicted a couple weeks ago.
