So it's not huge in the grand scheme of things.

Uh and I don't think when we're looking at all the other

parts of the puzzle that contribute to how comfortable your retirement is going to be.

This to me, like the the potential um tax implications when you move from accumulation to pension is bottom of the barrel.

Exactly.

And I think that's something that um

is often slipping through the cracks with clients that we speak with is that your capital gains that do accrue up until 30th of June next year, they're still subject to the old rules.

So from that point of view, for a lot of our clients, they've accumulated the wealth, um, like a significant portion of their wealth now, um, particularly for the ones that I work with, because I'm working with retirees.

So the growth component after that point is

not material.

Like we're looking at drawdown phase now.

So from that point of view, there's actually not been that many clients that we've changed strategies for based on the proposals, particularly because they are still being fleshed out.

And as you kind of hinted at, like we don't know how long this sort of um tax regime is going to stay in place.

So for us, tax is always um like a a positive or a negative consequence of what we do, but it's never the driving force of why we do a particular strategy.

Uh well, basically within all super funds, capital gains are treated differently to the way they would be.

treated personally.

So um whereas our earnings inside Supra are typically taxed at fifteen percent, capital gains, um, provided that asset has been held for over 12 months, they are discounted and the tax rate comes down to 10%.

So it's pretty low and that isn't changing under the proposals, which is also um really
