So that's one experience.
But for the majority of the population, we're on remand, not yet found guilty, not yet been to court, don't know yet when we are going to get out.
So that was my experience.
And it's like a high percentage of people, over half of people,
in any prison are on remand.
And so your court dates are surprise and you might get out on the court date or you might not.
And there's no, um, they don't, you don't have to prove you've got somewhere to live to go to, to get out if you're on remand.
So you go to court and you don't, I didn't even know I was going to court.
You go to court, you get sentenced and they go,
You're released today.
You've done your time.
Yeah.
Well, you got a head sentence of two years.
You've done almost a year.
We're going to let you out with time served.
You've got to serve the rest on parole.
Yeah.
That's longer than most people are supposed to serve.
You usually serve a 30-year sentence before you get out.
So I've served half of mine.
