It's beautiful and heartbreaking.

And

I mean, Argos, I think, you know, we get the story of him too before he dies, of how this happened.

You hear how like it was okay at first, and then just kind of everyone slowly started to abandon him.

I had a student write that Argos kind of represented Ithaca.

It was this thing that's kind of wasting away from neglect and nobody kind of stepping up to do anything about it.

And I

I think that's plausible to some degree.

Yeah.

So in the last few books I've we've been talking about this idea that there's kind of a parallel intrapsychic journey that Odysseus is taking.

And there's some grist for that in these two books, I think.

You know, there's a lot of things that he says about his character that also seem to apply very well to him.

Uh but then this time I also had the vibes of Ithaca being kind of haunted by

Odysseus, like like he's a ghost or something that's come to kind of haunt the suitors.

And you can see like the good suitor, amphimous or whatever, he's starting to feel bad and everyone's starting to get a little like maybe worried about what it is they're doing.
