And so, you know, this year having kind of,
two major different groups of voices has been you know in some way really positive for me just because I've kind of been able to uh check and recheck and double check and do different things in terms of how the the delivery is working to go back to when the Red Sox you know they let you go and they let you you know it was good you get to pick a team right that was a good what was that like what was that conversation were you surprised by it or what was
Yeah, I mean, I think largely it's, you know, the worst, one of the worst days in a professional baseball player's life and getting DFA'd.
And that was the first time that I've ever been through that and all that.
But, you know, I had six or eight teams that called and a couple of meetings.
And the meeting here was obviously a little bit different than others and felt really good about the situation and kind of the opportunity.
And obviously to be at this point in the playoffs and feel good about where we're at is kind of all I was looking for.
No, but, you know, you get DFA'd and then the next day you have six or seven playoff teams that want you to come and play.
It's just a, you know, I think the DFA thing is so difficult and something we all dread for so long, but it definitely sucks for a few days and then, oh, somebody else wants me and you kind of get that.
That little burst of like, oh, I can do this.
And at some point in my career, that probably would have never been a thought.
But it's the reality of it.
And so I'm trying to enjoy it and help in any way I can.
You know, obviously Giolito and I have had pretty similar paths kind of in the big leagues and kind of, you know, pretty high highs and some pretty low lows now.
And, you know, him coming back from the surgery and, you know, really finding it kind of throughout the year and watching him get it back I think was really cool for me.
And so, you know, for him to not be able to go in the playoffs I'm sure killed him.
But, you know, I can obviously empathize with that, man.
