Hi, everybody.

So today we're asking why has pride died?

Looking at this question from an employer perspective.

Now that there's clear evidence that the UK's biggest brands are losing their appetite for rainbows and drag queens, we'll analyse what this tells us about the conversations, calculations and power struggles happening behind the scenes of the organisations who have bailed, or as they might say, decided to go in a different direction this year.

Are they stepping away because so-called LGBT has become too political?

Or do they recognize it as bad business as they sharpen their focus on productivity and profit?

Or is it simply that it's no longer fashionable?

I should just say that I'm not saying everybody has binned pride or that it's completely died everywhere.

I know that there are still brands who are still very into this stuff and have been very visible.

But I think there's a real sense of pride fatigue.

So I definitely wasn't surprised to see a continuation of diminishing interest and appetite.

I've been noticing it.

I noticed it last summer for Pride 25.

And I also noticed that Trans Awareness Week in November 2025 was pretty much completely dead as well.
