I'm the first person to negotiate, the first to try and promote reason, the first to try and bring humanity and empathy to a situation.

I also understand that sometimes you go into battle and make your point with such force that people remember it.

Anyway, that's why, while at Stonewall's Pride celebration, when I happened to bump into Mary Ann Stevenson, head of the EHRC, I spent 10 minutes tearing a strip off her, destroying her guidance and arguments and almost reducing her to tears.

The impact of her actions needs to be spelled out to her in plain language.

I expect it ruined her evening as much as me getting annoyed ruined mine.

I hope I've ruined some nights of sleep for her too as she reflects on my points and realises in 25 years they'll be apologising for her guidance in Parliament.

I expect she'll now not want to talk to me again.

She's done nothing but ignore every attempt to engage with me and trans in the city up to now anyway.

So as far as I'm concerned, nothing lost.

And if you don't believe people can change sex, this person is still a man.
