It's consider this where every day we go deep on one big news story.
Today, the intense scrutiny and subsequent death of British academic Jason Arday.
Arde made his name as the youngest ever black professor appointed at the University of Cambridge in 2023.
He was just 37 at the time.
His focus was on sociology of education.
That year he told the BBC about his experiences, saying he had been diagnosed with autism and that he overcame developmental delays like not being able to talk or read or write throughout his adolescence.
His story served as an inspiration for those from marginalized backgrounds, particularly young black men who felt academic success was out of reach.
But Arde's family says he was, quote, subjected to a campaign of sustained abuse since he accepted the Cambridge position in 2023.
The scrutiny reached a head earlier this year with accusations of plagiarism and fraud leveled against Arde.
He resigned from his position at Cambridge just last week.
He was found dead at his London home on Friday, and he was 41 years old.
Consider this.
Questions around Arde's qualifications grew in the past year, and now his death is raising new questions about how fairly black men are treated in academia.

Students, colleagues, and supporters of the British sociologist Jason Arde have been holding vigils in recent days to remember the late academic.
Arde was found dead in London on Friday.
Authorities have not released an official cause of death.
In twenty twenty three, Arde became the youngest black professor at Cambridge University, assuming a job as a professor of sociology of education, but he resigned earlier this month following allegations of plagiarism.
He wrote in a statement.
