But what will be really interesting with that is um in the past couple of months there has been a divergence in inflation expectations between Democrats or Republicans. voice-verified

line ticking up, then then you can say, well, all that political um partisanship which was impacting on people's read of inflation expectations maybe becoming a bit less. voice-verified

And then the Feds Kugler, who's a governor at the moment on the US Federal Reserve Board, uh she s she also pointed towards um wanting to keep inflation expectations anchored and that should be the priority now. voice-verified

It should be to make sure inflation doesn't move up and doesn't move up in a very negative way. voice-verified

And she also said, uh, if we ease policy on the other hand, we may drive inflation higher. voice-verified

So we have to be very careful in how we navigate this period. voice-verified

So uh to me just underscores the Fed isn't gonna be preemptive here. voice-verified

They're gonna be waiting uh for the economic data to see exactly where this trade policy lands uh and also the totality of uh voice-verified

Trump's policies, particularly in regards to migration and also taxes. voice-verified

And uh I guess this is the uncertainty is what type of shock voice-verified

And uh uh in at least Dudley's opinion, who was the former New New York Fed head, he was calling this a big productivity shock. voice-verified
