I mean, the first time I ever explained or like, the first time I was like,
explaining it to her was like, that sounds really science fiction-y.
And I was like, no, it couldn't.
It really isn't.
For me, it really started from everything always starts from a very human, very basic place in that I think that grief really well lived can feel like joy, like joy that holds hands with pain.
And
I think that a really beautiful and thing that sort of mimics that can be motherhood and the pursuit of motherhood.
It can be full of a lot of pain, but also a lot of moments of joy.
And so for me, that's, that's really what it all boiled down to is, is she, she carries a piece of her friend with her in her life, in her grief and her grieving.
I mean, grief is the cathedral to the love we had for that person anyway.
And so,
Why would it be strange for her to actually bring a piece of her friend back into the world that way in this new completely... Somebody that would end up being completely their own person.
But just like we are a completely changed person through our grief anyway.
So yeah, I think it all always... Everything... I mean, life is complicated.
Everything we go through is complicated.
That's where... Those are the stories that interest me.
There's the...
big nuances between, you know, things that seem simple enough, even Bea and Silas having feelings for each other for a long time.
There's a lot of nuance there because, you know, her friend Merritt also had a crush on him.
There's something to be said about, like, I mean, not to be, like, hokey with it, but hoes before bros, you know, when they're younger.
