Well, I am into Hyperpop, but we can have a little Hyperpop corner.
I mean, Hyperpop's sort of a dated term these days.
What does that mean?
It's a good question.
electronic pop with a lot of glitchy sounds, a little bit punk-inflected, very noisy.
100 Gex is the classic hyper-pop.
Never let a 100-gag show go by.
No, there is a lot of hyperbop in my household because my son, William, is really into it, and he loves Glaive, who kind of came out of the hyperbop scene and has a record that I've been talking about.
But I really like this new Tiffany Day single called Constantly, and she's like this 26-year-old Chinese-American hyperbop artist, and she's actually opening for Glaive on his tour.
Anyway, I'm really loving that.
I liked that Gwendolyn Riley novel, which came out maybe a month or two ago, called The Palm House, which I recommend if you like Rachel Cusk stuff.
It's set in London.
It's about a woman that works at a small literary magazine in London and the comings and goings of the staff of that magazine.
It had a really cool mood to it.
You can read it in a weekend.
So I really enjoyed that.
And then I just read, this is looking ahead, so I'm always reading books two or three months ahead to try to get reviews written for an issue that we're working on.
But I did read the new Emma Klein, which comes out in September, and it's called Switzy.
