That's um, you know, marginally above the the sixty-nine oh nine level than we when we spoke ear early Thursday and you know US equities are holding uh a little bit higher, holding on to to gains on um matched

uh that they made on on Monday. matched

So yeah, fairly fairly small market moves, but as you say, those those headlines uh continue to be in focus. matched

Um you mentioned that uh that key quote from Trump who was speaking in in the last couple of hours, um the the kind of the latest expiry for for Trump's uh, you know, ultimatum, the the deadline for for some um resolution to to the conflict is is Tuesday at matched

eight PM um in in eastern time in in the US. matched

So that's coming up, although it is you know, the the commentary suggests that, you know, he's reluctant to to see that extend again if you take it at face value, but I think it is worth noting that it has already been extended a couple of times. matched

Um but yeah, over the weekend there was that that news that um Iran uh rejected a a forty five day ceasefire proposal. matched

came back with its own kind of um ten point plan which was which was also rejected and and so there's no no resolution there and and strikes continue and that threat of a an escalation in in strikes from from the US is there? matched

Yeah, that that's right. matched

So, you know, it continues to be kind of balanced between, you know, the sides, you know, talking at at least via via um Pakistan and and, you know, what is very escalatory rhetoric uh around that. matched

So, um, yeah, we'll we'll have to continue to to watch and see how that plays out. matched

Yeah, in the meantime, as you say, if we look at oil markets specifically, that is one area where there has been some more noticeable uh market reaction, Brent matched

now is is back near a $110 a barrel where we spoke on on Thursday morning a ahead of uh Trump's speech late last week that was closer to to a hundred dollars a barrel so it it has moved higher but it's been kind of you know remarkably stable in in the face of some of these headlines over the last little while. matched

Um that OPEC plus move, you know, it's fair to say that it's it's largely sym symbolic um though that increase to production targets, but maybe it is a bit of a signal in of intent. matched

About uh what they would try and do at least after um after the conflict. matched

Um, but you know, certainly they were also warning that it would take some time to to get production back to to normal levels. matched

Um in the meantime, if we think about those dynamics in the oil market, so we know that the the Strait of Hormuz is is still you know effectively closed, but it is worth noting that um Bloomberg reported that uh 21 ships transited over over matched
