trying to make something as broad as possible and bringing in as many people as possible, but not everything you make is like that.

I think it helps to tell people what they're signing up for, especially once you have multiple specials, multiple books, whatever else.

It's like, okay, this one is for

these people.

This one's for the people who like these topics.

But also, if you're not interested in watching someone talk about deconstructing their faith for 25 minutes, I don't want to trick you into doing it.

And maybe that's a mistake on my part.

Maybe I should be trying to trick people.

It's not like I want to hit these people with it.

It was like, this is what I want to talk about right now.

This is what I'm going through.

This is what I've thought the most about these last couple of years.

That's what it felt like.

And a large part of my audience is like me.

And so they've gone through similar things.

Right.

And there are going to be people, I'm sure, who watch the special who haven't been familiar with me before because they're interested in that subject matter.

But I know there are also going to be people, like with any special, who are like, oh, this one wasn't for me.

I'll catch the next one.

Or I'll go rewatch the last one.
