Now, in saying that, you could call me and we could do this in 60 days from now and hopefully, knock on wood, we're not talking about two or three injuries and players struggling.

But Mauricio Pochettino has found a way to push the right buttons.

And I think the Gold Cup controversy with Pulisic and others asking for a break, I think he struck a chord with the emotional side of playing for the U.S.

men's national team, of playing for the red, white, and blue.

I absolutely believe that.

I also believe, and everyone's mischaracterized the group.

Dan, guys, it's not an easy group, but it's a favorable group.

And the draw works out for the United States that if they do their job.

They finish first in the group.

When you do that, that gives them a road that is a real, real success rate of getting to the quarterfinals.

And in my opinion, it's quarterfinals or bust.

After that, then it depends on who you play and how you get there.

But I am much more optimistic, for lack of a better word, for the United States men than I was about 100 days ago.

First off, I'm glad you brought it up.
