Tumult, but I wasn't confused.

I knew where the problem was, me, and I had been working on it for a year, so I didn't feel lost.

I just was at the bottom, but knew it and was okay with being at the bottom.

By the time we came back, I think there was like, oh.

Oh, my.

I wasn't confused where the problem was.

The problem was me.

When you think about it, in life, you make a mistake and it's like, shoot, I have to live with this.

You know, I have to think about this for a while.

If you make a mistake, you go take two, take three until you get it right.

So it's very comforting in a way.

Also, you have permission.

You're supposed to be an idiot because of the character or angry because of the character or whatever.

And that was kind of- Oh, the character allows you to hide, I guess, too, right?

Or to explore parts of yourself that you weren't willing to do in life.

I was raised very... My parents, I had unconditional love.

But we all have foibles.

And one of my mothers was... She was brilliant at...
