Having Finney Smith, I know the Spurs, like Chris Paul put on just a master class of surgery matchups against them, which was nice to see from my guy. But when I look at the Lakers, I'm like, all right, I actually like a lot of the pieces here. AD's been terrific. Finney Smith's a good pickup because they needed to change their perimeter defense.

I think I like the possessions of LeBron playing point more than the other ones, but we're not going to see it in January and February. Like, is there a version of this that's kind of sneaky where LeBron paces himself and he has something in him to be able to do this for multiple weeks?

And then I'll watch his rotations on defense and I'll go, man, like, are you going to do that in the playoffs too? Because I don't know that they can survive. This sounds crazy, but as great as he is offensively, the numbers are still great. He's passing and all those different things.

For the Lakers to be at least taken seriously as maybe an upset alert team in the playoffs, in the West, my guess would be he's not going to have the same approach defensively. And maybe he plays more point guard. I'm not talking myself into the Lakers winning the West here. I'm just trying to figure out how viable they are to be matched up with some of these other teams.
