unless they were going to get really aggressive and go like the Oakland A's path of this and re-sign their guy, trade him, and then draft a replacement. But when you're flirting with titles, you're flirting from the NBA championships, nobody wants to be that cute. I would have a hard time believing that that's what they would actually do.
