So they love coming up.

It's super fun.

And like,

For a little bit of context, so this year was just going to be my mom coming up, and I was, like, really excited, and it was going really well, and a little bit just, like, a week before, I had, like, been talking to this guy for, like, months.

Months on end.

And my mom, of course, like, she knew about him.

Right.

And, like, we gave her all the details, and he had asked me, like, a couple, like, weeks before, he was like, so, like, am I going to meet your mom on Parents Weekend?

And I was like, well...

kind of everyone meets my mom like she's awesome like she'll probably buy you a drink and she won't even know you like of course like it's not a big deal if you meet her and so fast forward it's like literally maybe four days before parents weekend and before my mom's coming him and i get into like a heated argument we end things it was messy and it was brutal and whatever and

and so we fast forward now it's parents weekend my mom and i are at the tailgate um at cal they kind of do it at like this like hotel parking lot thing it's the city okay um so here my mom and i are we're in our matching denim dresses we're really excited and we're standing at the bar and she's like getting some like drinks for me and my friends and i turn around and i see my ex's best friend standing with this mom and i was like oh

Hey, is this your mom?

And he goes, look, gives me this look.

And he's like, nope.

And I look at her a little bit more.

And I was like, oh, my God, you're my ex's mother.

Oh, God.

Oh, my God.

Okay.

And I remember she, like, kind of was like, hi.
