Because I remember, I mean, even before the Super Bowl, the story came out that Parcells by Will McDonough, the late Will McDonough, that he was going to leave.

And for me as a rookie, I'm like shocked.

I'm like, wow.

I mean, so and then having him go through that, come out the other side, hire Pete Carroll, realize that's not working, then hire Bill.

And

I thought Bill Belichick was going to be the head coach after the 96 loss.

I mean, so we're on the plane going back in 96 and Belichick is going around to certain individual players and talking like just whispering to them.

And he comes up to me and he goes, hey, man, you had a great year.

Just keep doing what you're doing.

We're going to get it right around here.

And I said, OK, that must be our next head coach.

That's who I thought it was going to be.

I think something happened with Parcells that I think he gave him the assist.

He gave him the sort of structure about, I'm only here for a few years.

You're going to be a head coach of the New York Jets.

That's how it's going to be.

That's how we lose him.

And so Pete Carroll came in.

Mr. Kraft is going through all of that, that drama, and having to hire coaches.

So he really learned in probably my first five years, and then to watch it through winning championships, that, man, that's probably the best owner in professional sports.
