But on the other hand, of course, they don't want that person to then sort of figure out exactly what it is that they're up to.
Because even with
you know, even in longtime relationships on Wall Street, what I always hear is about this kind of trust gap, right?
Like we need to make sure that our, you know, that the trader I'm talking to isn't taking advantage of me by, you know, kind of leaking out what I'm doing to other clients, right?
Or that the analyst I'm talking to isn't then turning around and telling other clients, oh, this is what this person is thinking.
So while, of course, you know, clients want to, and often do, have a good relationship with whoever they're

There's always that trust factor.
And so the feeling that like, oh, OK, you're watching everything I read in real time.
What are you then doing with that?
Well, so to be clear, that's not exactly happening yet.
I think that what the clients of Wall Street want to say is they just want to kind of put down a marker here.
And what some large clients have said is like, we definitely don't even want you thinking about selling this sort of information.
Because Wall Street is looking for banks like, again, like other businesses are looking for new ways to monetize all the things that they do.
And one thing that they're considering are data products based on information that flows through the bank.
But
It's going to be tricky for them because a lot of that information is going to be considered proprietary by the clients who traded with them.
So I think this is just an example of how tricky it's going to be for banks to monetize some of the data that they collect because the person that –
or the client that enabled them to collect that data in the first place kind of considers it proprietary or secret.
And even in anonymized form, I think that's another aspect here is that people don't really trust that, oh, well, we're not going to tell people what you're doing.
