I noticed that immediately.
I had a lot of questions despite being a criminal defense lawyer for a decade now and growing up in the Gary goes house.
First of all, I just want to say I thought Alan Jackson was a class act that despite all your differences with Nathan Hockman, I actually thought his press conference was a class act.
But I had a question that I initially asked you, Dad, which I hope that you answer for all the listeners, which is why when Nick Reiner was in court after being charged, was the arraignment moved to January 7th?
Like, why not just do it at that moment?
Can you explain that process?
Because you've had so many, not so many, but probably more than the average lawyer, matricide, patricide cases where you've had to do that process.
And I've never done that before.
So I'm personally really curious about it.
And I'm not seeing coverage of it anywhere as to what you're supposed to do as a lawyer right when you get the charging document in order to go forward with an NGI plea.
You've had three that I can just think of off the top of my head.
So I'm just curious about it.
The reason for those who don't know that you would do that is it's a neutral person, not selected by the prosecutor, not selected by the defense, but in theory, a neutral person to evaluate, an objective person, right?
Correct.
If that change in Medicaid... Well, Nathan Hoffman says most of what you're reading is false, so go ahead.
I like that line.
It's all speculation.
I'm only smiling because I hope he's not getting out of bed for free at this point in his career.
That was the only reason I smiled.
He shouldn't.
