And literally the moderator came back and threw the immigration question at him and he said, no way, because I have to talk about the rallies.
And I knew right there, she got him off, right?
And then as he started to go into the craziness of eating cats and of immigrants eating cats and dogs, that she took that moment of him getting off script and then pivoted back to, do you hear how crazy this is?
And this is why even his generals say,
that he is a disgrace, that he is unqualified.
That really threw him off, Terrence.
And the best people are now calling you a disgrace and reminding the American people why you're unqualified.
But along with, you know, poking at him, setting the traps that he walked into and kind of knocking him off his balance there, she also reminded people of what I think is the greatest threat of Donald Trump, and that is the violence.
She reminded people
of very fine people on both sides of Charlottesville.
She reminded folks of stand back and stand by.
And then what she did that I thought was so important was not just remind them of the violence from the past, but remind them of the promise he's making about the future, the bloodbath if he doesn't win.
And that is what I think the American people need to be reminded of in this debate, and she nailed that.
You know, in some ways, though, even the way that we analyze and commentate on these on these debates in these moments speaks to the sexism that's kind of built into it.
Right.
And one example of that is the over focus on strength.
as the metric here.
And the other metric that the American people are turned to when they make these decisions is empathy.
And that is where I think the vice president expressed there was a command and an understanding of the issue, but an empathy for how it's affecting people.
That this isn't just a policy.
