You know, players have said for years, and I know you've heard about it, you play, hey, just tell me the truth.
Well, sometimes you don't want to hear the truth.
You know, you don't like it because sometimes it's something you don't want to hear.
But when you get in a situation where, you know what, it's starting to affect the club, the performance of the club,
The most important thing is the team itself.
And so you've got to be able to make those decisions that are tough.
But, again, I think if you clear the air with the players, the one guy itself, and, again, they've got to be able to look in the mirror.
If you're a quality major league player, you've got to know that, hey, you're struggling, whether it's offensively or pitching or whatever side of the game it's on.
You've got to be honest with yourself and understand that the most important thing is how is the team going to get better.

Because, you know, so there was – and I can't remember.
It might have been even maybe 2016 where –
Jake DeGrom was going through a tough time, really tough time.
Now, this is the first time in his major league career where all of a sudden he was struggling.
And so the pitching coach himself, they beat themselves up.
That's the one thing about pitching.
You have a bad day, you're miserable for the next four days before you get back out there.
But the whole point is you can study all the film you want,
But you have to, when you get on that mound the next time, you have to have confidence in yourself.
